Michele’s Experience in Occupational Therapy
Michele Gordon, OTR/L, is an occupational therapist at The Thrive Group’s Brooklyn, NY, branch. With more than twelve years of experience in schools, sensory gyms, and center-based pediatric settings, she specializes in sensory processing, reflex integration, coordination disorders, and visual-motor development. Michele graduated with honors from Stern College with a Bachelor of Arts and from Touro College with a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s in Occupational Therapy.
Michele’s Approach
Michele has advanced training from leading experts in the field and has also served as a teaching assistant for pediatric OT continuing education courses. She is trained in conducting comprehensive developmental screenings that identify the underlying root causes of a child’s challenges, allowing for highly targeted intervention.
Michele works closely with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure that progress carries over into both the classroom and daily life.
